Making a gift of securities is a simple and tax-smart way to support the Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation of Chatham-Kent (CTCF-CK). By donating publicly traded securities such as stocks, bonds, or mutual funds, you can:

  • Eliminate capital gains tax on appreciated securities.
  • Receive a charitable tax receipt for the full market value of your donation, based on the closing price on the day the securities are received.
  • Make an Impact: The full value of your donation goes directly to supporting children and families in our community.

Your gift will directly fund essential programs such as Social Work, Therapeutic Recreation, and Music Therapy, empowering children of all abilities to thrive and reach their full potential.

How to Donate Securities

  1. Download the Gifts of Securities Transfer Form
    Click here to download the form.

  2. Complete the Form
    Fill out the required details, including your information, your broker’s information, and the details of the securities you wish to donate.

  3. Share the Form

    • Send a copy of the completed form to your broker, instructing them to initiate the transfer to our brokerage account.
    • Send a copy to us at foundation@ctc-ck.com to ensure we’re notified of your donation.

  1. Receive Your Charitable Tax Receipt
    Once the securities have been transferred to our account, we’ll issue you a tax receipt for the full market value of the securities on the day they are received.
