On January 20th, during Business After Hours at the CTC, Chatham-Kent Tim Hortons owners presented the Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation with a cheque for $11,060 from this year’s Smile Cookie Program.
In September 2015, Chatham-Kent Tim Hortons owners designated the Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation as this year’s recipient for their annual Smile Cookie Program. The Tim Hortons Smile Cookie Program, one of the Foundation’s tastiest fundraisers to date, donated the entire proceeds of every $1 cookie sale back to the Foundation.
The “dough” raised during this year’s week-long Smile Cookie Program will be put towards purchasing a new piano for the Centre’s Music Therapy Program, and expanding the Centre’s Social Work program.
The Centre’s enhanced programs, such as Music Therapy and Social Work, go beyond traditional therapy measures, focusing on meeting various therapy and life-skills goals such as social skills, turn taking, transitions, and communication skills. The Children’s Treatment Centre and Foundation are thrilled to have been chosen as this year’s recipient for the Tim Hortons Smile Cookie Program, and to be able to dedicate these funds to such essential, and esteemed therapy programs.
The Children’s Treatment Centre and Foundation would like to thank Chatham-Kent Tim Hortons owners and the Chatham-Kent community for their overwhelming support throughout this year’s Smile Cookie Program.
