(CHATHAM, ONTARIO) – The Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Chatham-Kent are partnering this year to go ‘Over the Edge’. The second annual event is coming to Chatham-Kent on Saturday, June 20th at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites beginning at 9AM. The event will offer guests a fun-filled day for thrill-seekers, families, and everyone in-between. Guests will enjoy the carnival like atmosphere live music, children’s entertainment, food vendors and much more!
‘Edgers’, people who have raised a minimum of a $1,000 of money, will rappel over the front of the Holiday Inn Express. Their declines start at 9 AM. All the lucky ‘Edgers’, who have raised a minimum $1,000 in pledges, will have their name put into a draw to win a brand new 2020 Mazda3 GX.
“We are thrilled to be able to bring this exciting, unique event back to our community and partner with another great non-profit agency like Big Brothers Big Sisters of Chatham-Kent,” stated Mike Genge, President of the Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation. “We’re inviting the Chatham-Kent community, friends and family to join us at ‘Over the Edge’ to cheer on our participants and enjoy a fun-filled day.”
“We’re proud to have the Holiday Inn Express & Suites host our 2020 event. It’s the perfect rappelling venue!” said Nan Stuckey, Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters. “Special shout out to Chatham Mazda for the car to help motivate all our participants. Couldn’t ask for better key community sponsors.”
Funds raised from the event will be split between the two non-profits
