ENGIE’s Donation: Empowering Futures Together

CHATHAM, ONTARIO (December 19, 2024) – The Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation of Chatham-Kent is delighted to announce a $10,000 donation from Erieau Wind LP and East Lake St Clair Wind LP, owned in partnership and operated by ENGIE Canada Inc., towards the Build for the Kids Campaign. This generous contribution continues their strong support of the Foundation, following a $25,000 donation in 2018 to the Butterfly Building Campaign.

The Build for the Kids Campaign was successfully completed in October 2024, surpassing its ambitious $10 million goal thanks to the unwavering generosity of donors like Erieau Wind LP and East Lake St Clair Wind LP. This milestone ensures the creation of a new, fully accessible 55,000 sq. ft. facility on McNaughton Avenue in Chatham, designed to meet the growing demand for specialized therapies for children with special needs.

“The Children’s Treatment Centre has been a vital support system for local families for over 70 years, and we are proud to stand behind their mission,” said Brooke Watson, Site Administrator for ENGIE Canada Inc. “The Butterfly Building symbolizes hope and opportunity, and we are excited to help make a lasting difference for children and their families as they work toward brighter futures.”

The Children’s Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent has experienced tremendous growth, expanding from serving 224 clients in 1984 to over 5,000 children and youth annually today. This new facility will ensure that children in the region have the resources and care they need to reach their full potential.
