Marco’s Journey: Finding Joy and Support at CTC-CK

In the halls of the Children’s Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent (CTC-CK), Marco’s infectious energy and radiant personality are a constant presence. As parents of a child deeply connected with CTC-CK’s services, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to donors like you.

Our son, Marco, embodies the essence of joy—a vibrant, fun-loving 10-year-old whose charisma effortlessly brightens any room. His innate kindness and sociable nature draw people towards him. Within the CTC-CK family, Marco has found a second home.

Marco’s journey began with a pre-birth diagnosis of Down Syndrome. At just 3 months old, he embarked on his CTC-CK adventure. The array of services, from occupational to speech, music to recreational therapies, has been instrumental in Marco’s growth. Today, basketball, baseball, and swimming top his list of cherished activities.

For us, CTC-CK isn’t just a center—it’s family. Here, Marco thrives in an environment where he’s treated with equality and respect. Nothing has hindered his enthusiasm. Through CTC-CK’s activities, his social skills flourish, and his confidence to explore new horizons grows. Lifelong friendships have blossomed within these walls.

Your donation brings immeasurable joy to the lives of children like Marco. The unwavering support from CTC-CK’s staff has been a guiding light for our family. As parents navigating the journey with a special needs child, having such a dependable support system is invaluable. Without their assistance, we would have felt lost.

Every child deserves a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating space to grow. Your contribution ensures this future for our kids. Many crucial services at CTC-CK rely on the generosity of donors, as not all are covered by government funding. The Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation (CTC Foundation) steps in to fund pivotal programs like Social Work, Therapeutic Recreation Services (including pool programs), and Music Therapy.

Your gift makes a tangible difference, shaping brighter futures for children like Marco. Thank you for being a beacon of hope and support in our children’s lives.
