Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation of Chatham-Kent Launches 2025 Holiday Campaign: Give a Gift That Gives Back
CHATHAM, ON, Dec 4, 2025 : The Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation of Chatham-Kent (CTC-CK) is proud to launch its annual holiday campaign, inviting the community to make room on their gift list for local children whose lives are transformed through donor-supported programs and services. This year’s campaign features the inspiring story of six-year-old Easton — a joyful, energetic child whose remarkable progress has been made possible thanks to the generosity of donors across Chatham-Kent.
Easton’s journey with the Children’s Treatment Centre began when he was just six weeks old. Diagnosed with Level 3 autism at two years old, Easton is nonverbal, but he communicates joy in countless ways. His laughter, movement, and bright personality fill every room he enters.
“He’s the happiest, funniest little boy you’ll ever meet,” says his mom, Hailey. “He doesn’t let anything hold him back.”
From early hearing tests to physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and specialized music and dance programs, CTC-CK has been woven into nearly every chapter of Easton’s growth. When balance challenges made it hard for Easton to stay steady on his feet, the Centre’s physiotherapy team designed custom braces to support his mobility — helping him build strength and confidence. Today, Easton walks with independence… and even dances.
“Without the Centre, I don’t know where we’d be,” Hailey shares. “They’ve been there for everything. They’re our village.”
Beyond therapy, CTC-CK provides Easton with opportunities that other children may take for granted. Sensory-friendly Halloween and Christmas events allow him to participate without fear of overstimulation. Last Halloween, Easton pressed his communication button to say “trick or treat” for the first time — a moment his family will never forget.
“It’s the one place where he’s never left out,” Hailey says. “When we walk in, everyone knows him. I can relax because I know he’s safe.”
This holiday season, CTC-CK invites the community to help ensure that children like Easton continue receiving the life-changing support they need. Donations directly fund essential programs — including music therapy, recreational therapy, social work, and other services not covered by government funding.
“Your generosity makes stories like Easton’s possible,” says Mike Genge, President of the Foundation. “Every gift makes a direct and meaningful impact on the lives of children and families across Chatham-Kent.”
