VIRTUAL FESTIVAL OF GIVING RAISES $151,500 FOR CTC FOUNDATION

CHATHAM, ONTARIO – The Festival of Giving was held on July 10, 2021 virtually with the theme of “Good Times and Tan Lines”. The annual fundraiser, which raises important funds needed for the Children’s Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent, collected $151,500 Saturday night.

The Centre’s biggest fundraisier typically attracts more than 1,000 guests with a different theme each year. This year, the event sold over 600 tickets and invited guests to stay in their own bubble and watch the virtual event from the comfort of their own home. Each guest received a party bag with vouchers for food, drinks and a chance to win a 1996 BMW Z3 Roadster. It was won by Tony M of Wallaceburg.

The evening was hosted by Co-Chairs Chris McLeod and Tim Regan, with Greg Hetherington as auctioneer for the Live auction during the event and Matt Tape behind the scenes producing the virtual event.

“Thank you to our sponsors, virtual guests and volunteers for making this a successful event and raising important funds that we need for our kids.” says Mike Genge, Foundation President “The funds raised will go towards providing quality therapy and programming to children with special needs in our community.”

The virtual show included special appearances from past Festival of Giving Chairs as well as recorded performances by local band Face 4 Radio.
