Festival of Giving Raises $160,800 for the Centre!

CHATHAM, ONTARIO – The Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation’s annual Festival of Giving was held on Saturday June 25, 2022 in a virtual setting, hosting the event with the theme of “Rock the Block”. This rock-themed fundraiser was the 21st annual event, raising a total of $160,800 needed to support the Children’s Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent.

As the Centre’s largest annual fundraiser, the Festival of Giving has previously attracted over 1,000 guests, hosting a novel theme each year. Hosted virtually this year, the event totalled over 400 ticket sales, allowing guests to attend virtually from the comfort of their own home. Guests were given a party bag for the event, receiving drink and food vouchers, festival-themed party favours, and the chance to win a dream trip of their choice from Vellinga’s Travel & Cruise Experts, which was obtained by Wendie S of Blenheim.

The virtually held festival was co-hosted by Chris McLeod and Tim Regan, while the live auction was presented by Greg Hetherington. Matt Tape acted as the producer of the event, doing behind-the-scenes work.

“Thank you to our sponsors, virtual guests and volunteers for making this a successful event and raising important funds that we need for our kids. Without the community support, the money raised from this event would not be possible” says Mike Genge, Foundation President, “The funds raised will go towards programming like social work and therapeutic recreation that serve the children with special needs in our community.”

The virtual show included special appearances from Foundation Board Members as well as recorded performances by local band Face 4 Radio.
