FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 2025-06-26
CHATHAM, ON – The Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation of Chatham-Kent is thrilled to announce a generous $10,000 donation from the Thamesville Sertoma and La Sertoma in support of the Build for the Kids capital campaign.
This contribution finalizes Sertoma’s committed support to the campaign, which concluded in October 2024 after successfully raising $10 million to construct a new, state-of-the-art Children’s Treatment Centre. The new facility will meet the growing needs of children and youth with physical, developmental, and communication challenges throughout Chatham-Kent.
“We are incredibly grateful to the Sertoma Group for their continued and generous support,” said Mike Genge, President & CEO of the Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation. “Their commitment to the Build for the Kids campaign helps make this important project a reality. As our new building continues to rise, our community keeps stepping up in amazing ways for the kids.”
The new Children’s Treatment Centre will be a fully accessible, child-friendly space that enhances the Centre’s ability to deliver critical services such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech-language therapy, therapeutic recreation, and social work.
The Sertoma Group has a long history of supporting projects that improve the quality of life for local residents, particularly in areas related to speech and hearing. Their leadership and generosity continue to make a lasting difference in the lives of children and families across Chatham-Kent.
