(CHATHAM, ONTARIO) – The Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation of Chatham-Kent is celebrating another successful Run for the Kids. The fourth annual event, held on June 14, raised more than $105,000 to support local children and youth receiving services through the Children’s Treatment Centre.
Hundreds of participants gathered at Rondeau Provincial Park to walk, run, and move in support of a shared cause. The event featured the popular 200-Metre Kids Dash, a 5KM walk/run/move, family activities, entertainment, and opportunities for participants of all ages and abilities to get involved. Volunteers, sponsors, and community partners helped create an engaging atmosphere that celebrated both movement and giving back.
As Champion Sponsor, Enbridge Gas once again played a key role in helping make the event possible through its ongoing commitment to children and families across Chatham-Kent.
“Run for the Kids continues to demonstrate the incredible generosity of our community,” said Mike Genge, President & CEO of the Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation of Chatham-Kent. “The support behind this event helps ensure local children and youth have access to programs and services that make a meaningful difference in their lives. We are grateful to everyone who helped make this year’s event such a success.”
Funds raised through Run for the Kids support essential programs and services at the Children’s Treatment Centre that are not funded through government sources, including Social Work, Therapeutic Recreation, Music Therapy, and specialized equipment.
The Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation extends sincere thanks to everyone who took part in the event. Together, the community once again proved that when we come together for local kids, incredible things happen.
