Gala For the Kids Raises $200,000

(CHATHAM, ONTARIO) – On April 6, the Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation of Chatham-Kent (CTCF-CK) hosted the second annual Gala for the Kids event at the Chatham Armoury, raising over $200,000.  The Gala drew attendees from far and wide for a masquerade ball, all in support of the vital programs and services provided by the CTC.

“We are absolutely thrilled by the overwhelming response to this year’s Gala for the Kids,” exclaims Mike Genge, President of the CTC Foundation. “The outpouring of support from our sponsors, donors, and attendees is a testament to the incredible spirit of generosity in Chatham-Kent. Together, we are making a tangible difference in the lives of children and families who rely on the services provided by the Centre.”

From the moment guests arrived at the Chatham Armoury, they were transported into a world of mystery and enchantment. With a Masquerade theme, the venue was adorned with opulent décor, thanks to the work of To Suit Your Fancy and Four Diamond Events, setting the stage for an evening of magic and wonder. Attendees enjoyed a delicious four-course dinner and captivating performances, including a breathtaking suspended aerial acrobatics performance.

The highlight of the evening was the live and silent auctions, where guests had the opportunity to bid on an array of exclusive items and experiences, all in support of the CTCF-CK

One in five children in Chatham-Kent access services the CTC-CK provides. Not all services at the Children’s Treatment Centre are covered by government funding. Programs like Social Work, Therapeutic Recreation Services and Music Therapy are all funded by the CTC Foundation. Proceeds from this event will mean families continue to receive connection, comfort and support by accessing these services.

Looking ahead, Run for the Kids is fast approaching on June 23 and will be held in Rondeau Provincial Park. This family-friendly event is open to participants of all ages and abilities. It will include a paved 200m and 5km route accessible for strollers, wheelchairs and wagons.
